Halloween!

Gavin decided he wanted to be Yoda for Halloween so, of course, Kelley had to match in some way. She decided to be a Jedi Knight - a pupil of Master Yoda's. I have to say that I was very impressed that she was able to whip together a pretty convincing Jedi outfit from a few items from her closet. Unfortunately, 10 minutes in to trick or treating, Master Yoda zonked out. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sleepy bean

Whoa! It's been WAY too long since we've posted anything new and we're very sorry about that. We've already heard an earful from some of you so you don't need to scold us any further. We promise to keep this blog as up to date as possible from now on. Here are some photos of Gavin that were taken over the past few months.

5 1/2 Weeks

Here's Gavin at 5 1/2 weeks. What a big bean! We always laugh when he's lying on his back like this because he reminds us of a frog.

First Real Bath!

After Gavin was all healed up, it was time for his first bath. He didn't like it much, but that's probably because we didn't know what we were doing. Subsequent baths have gone great!

Gavin was 8 lbs 15 oz - That's pretty much 9 lbs! No wonder he didn't want to come out.

Gavin's Here!

Gavin Richard Vaughan arrived at 1:48 pm on Kelley's 30th birthday, May 14, 2009! He was 8 lbs, 15 oz and 20 inches long(he measured 21 inches 4 days later)! Kelley gave it her all for 2 1/2 hours but Gavin was just too big and wasn't moving. By 1:00 pm our doctor suggested a c-section and by 1:48 pm, Gavin was here! By the way, Gavin's middle name Richard, is in honor of my wonderful father. Hi dad!

T Minus 21 Hours

We went out for sushi this night(Kelley enjoyed cooked fish and smelling some sake). Was that early labor or Braxton Hicks? I guess we know now.

Oh What a Difference a Month Makes!

Gavin's Room

We took a few photos of Gavin's room. Green is supposed to be calming so hopefully this color might ease Gavin's terrible two's. Luckily we don't have to worry about that for a while. It's a little bare right now, we still need to find some cool artwork to hang on the walls.

Whoa, we've got to be the worst bloggers in the entire blogosphere. Who's bright idea was it to start this blog thing anyway?
